How Our Garden Shed Delivery and Installation Works

At Shed City we make it simple and stress free to get your new garden building delivered and installed. From choosing your perfect building to having it ready to use in your garden, we guide you through every step, so you know exactly what to expect. This article explains how our process works and the difference between the delivery and installation of our garden sheds and other buildings such as Power Products or Log Cabins.
Choosing Your Garden Building
When you visit Shed City online or instore, you can browse a large range of garden buildings in timber, plastic and metal. You can choose from traditional garden sheds, workshop buildings, storage solutions and much more. Each building shows key information about size, materials and any optional extras which may be available for each product.
Once you have chosen your ideal garden building you can add it to your cart and place your order.
Scheduling Your Delivery
After your order has been placed our team will contact you to confirm the delivery date. Delivery is usually carried out Monday to Friday, and we do our best to organise a time that works for you. For customers who want their building on a Saturday we may be able to arrange this for an additional fee.
Same Day Installation for Garden Sheds
One of the things that sets Shed City apart is that most of our garden sheds are not only delivered on the day that suits you, but they are also installed by our experienced team on the same day.
On the day of delivery our installers bring your building and all the components required. They work efficiently to assemble and secure the garden shed in the place you have chosen. You do not need to worry about organising installation or spending time building it yourself.
This same day delivery and installation service means you can plan your garden storage and see the finished result the very same day.
Larger Buildings Receive Separate Delivery and Fitting
For larger products such as premium log cabins or fast track modular sheds, the process is slightly different. These buildings are made up of many parts and require more complex assembly. Because of this we organise delivery on one date and fitting on a separate date.
On the first visit all the parts and materials are delivered to your property. This gives the installation team time to prepare before arriving on a different day to complete the installation. Having separate dates for delivery and fitting helps us ensure the work is done safely and to a high standard.
This process also allows us to coordinate any base preparation if required and to bring all the specialist tools that are needed for larger buildings.
Preparing Your Site
To ensure your building is installed without issues it helps to prepare the site in advance. A level solid base is essential so that the building sits flat and stable. We recommend clearing the area of obstacles such as stones, branches or outdoor furniture before the installation date.
We also require a clear working space around the building for successful installation and future maintenance to keep your new garden building in great condition. The space varies by product, but in general you should allow 40-60cms, or 16-24 inches.
After Installation
Once the installation is complete you can start using your new garden space straight away. Whether you are storing tools and equipment, creating a workspace or enhancing your garden the building is ready for use.
Customers tell us they value the efficiency of our delivery and installation service and the fact that they can see their shed installed quickly and professionally without having to do the hard work themselves.
